Biography Dr. Hannah Albert earned her naturopathic medical degree from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Her post-graduate studies were at the Luminos Homeopathic school with Louis Klein. She has also studied with homeopaths Henny Heudens-Mast and Massimo Mangiolavari. She is an Affiliate Clinical Faculty member at Bastyr University, and is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Washington Area Society of Homeopathic Clinicians, and the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Attracted to Naturopathic medicine because it is based on simple concepts married with the science of the body -- addressing the dynamic, changing individual -- Dr. Albert loves the opportunity to help people move forward in their physical and emotional realms of well-being. Dr. Albert's true calling is in homeopathy, a profoundly healing medicine that holds the potential to transform people's lives so they're able to pursue their goals and dreams with clarity and vitality. Dr. Albert has a special interest in the reproductive system and it’s health, being intimately connected with the creative impulse. The same energy that brings life into the world is the energy that keeps us healthy and happy. Areas of clinical expertise include endocrine imbalances (infertility; adrenal and thyroid issues), nervous system imbalances (depression, anxiety, panic, degenerative diseases), and digestive problems (IBS, Crohns, malabsorption, anemia.) Additional areas of interest include the plant, animal, and mineral worlds, and their role in restoring health to someone whose body, mind, and/or emotional state has become inhibited or out of control. Out of her own experience recovering from breast cancer, Dr. Albert developed a retreat series called Awakening the Intuitive Self, incorporating creative visualization, writing, movement, and image-making. This process is a means for patients to explore creativity as a healing force. It also incorporates her lifelong passion for art, along with her many years of training in the healing arts, yoga, meditation, and art education. Dr. Albert has lived in the Northwest since 1993 when she fell in love with the rich, expansive beauty of the western shoreline, the mountains, and cities of Portland and Seattle. Her personal philosophy connects to the works of Eckhardt Tolle’s The Power of Now, Shaun McNiff’s Art Heals, Miguel Ruiz’s The Four Agreements and Marion Woodman’s Conscious Femininity. She balances her career with yoga, meditation, making art, and connecting with nature at every opportunity.
